Jay Wilburn has always been a dear friend and avid supporter of Madness Heart Press, officially joining the family with his book Room 138, co-written with Armand Rosamilia. Despite long-term health issues, Jay was a prolific writer of fiction, who frankly put most of us to shame.

Jay kept up with his fiction writing, columnist duties, Patreon, twitch streaming, and newsletter, because he treated writing like a business. But even while treating the work as work, he treated his peers and colleagues with the deepest respect and love. Showing kindness, and patience at all times.

Tragically, Jay Wilburn passed on October 18th, 2022. In honor of his life and legacy, we are proud to continue publishing Jay’s work. Jay’s royalties continue to go toward supporting his family, we are also committing to taking a further 25% of those royalties and donating them to Scares that Care, Jay’s favorite charity, in his name.
